Şile Essentials

This selection highlights the maritime and historical character of Şile on the Black Sea coast. It features the 19th-century Şile Lighthouse, the largest active lighthouse in Turkey, and the Byzantine-era Şile Castle situated on Ocaklı Island. The list includes the expansive sandy Ayazma Beach and the local market where traditional Şile bezi cotton fabric is sold.
