Spreeinsel Essentials

Spreeinsel, home to the UNESCO-listed Museum Island, contains a dense concentration of Berlin’s most significant cultural institutions. The ensemble features the Neoclassical Altes Museum, the Egyptian collections of the Neues Museum, and the monumental Pergamon Museum. Art collections span from ancient Near Eastern civilizations to 19th-century European masterpieces in the Alte Nationalgalerie. Beyond the galleries, the island includes the Lustgarten park, the historic Schlossbrücke bridge, and the interactive DDR Museum, which documents daily life in former East Germany.

Pergamon Museum
