Altmünster Essentials

Altmünster serves as a central hub for exploring the Traunsee region, characterized by its collection of 19th-century castles and deep Alpine waters. The area features the island fortress of Seeschloss Ort and the historic Schloss Traunsee, alongside the Benedictine parish church. Natural highlights include the Traunsee esplanade, the expansive Toscanapark, and the nearby Langbathseen mountain lakes, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Salzkammergut mountains.
