Azerbaijan's Natural Wonders

Azerbaijan's landscape features the Greater and Lesser Caucasus mountain ranges, including the sacred Babadağ and the country's highest peak, Mount Bazardüzü. The region contains nearly half of the world’s mud volcanoes and unique geological features like the Karvachar Geyser and Istisu hot springs. High-altitude lakes such as Göygöl and Maralgel were created by a historic earthquake in 1139. From the dramatic waterfalls of Quba and Gabala to the ancient village of Khinalug, these sites represent the country's diverse topography.
