Ban Lung Essentials

Ban Lung is the administrative hub of Ratanakiri province and the primary gateway to Cambodia’s northeast highlands. The region is centered around the 4,000-year-old Yeak Laom volcanic crater lake and a series of significant natural landmarks including the Kachanh and Katieng waterfalls. The landscape is defined by fertile red soil supporting extensive rubber and pepper plantations. It serves as a base for visiting indigenous hill tribe communities and organizing expeditions into the remote wilderness of Virachey National Park.
