Hévíz Must-Sees

Hévíz is centered around the world’s largest biologically active natural thermal lake, where mineral-rich waters maintain a year-round temperature suitable for bathing. Beyond the spa, the town preserves its history through the 13th-century Romanesque Szent Magdolna-templom in Egregy and the excavated foundations of a Roman villa rustica dating back to the 1st century. These sites highlight the area's long-standing significance as both a therapeutic retreat and a historical settlement.

Lake Hévíz

Lake Hévíz is located in Hévíz, Hungary, near the western end of Lake Balaton, 8 kilometres from Keszthely.

Héviz

Szent Magdolna-templom

A 13th-century Árpád-era church and one of Hungary's best-preserved examples of Romanesque architecture. Located in the Egregy district, the stone structure features a distinctive square tower topped with a pyramid-shaped roof.

Római kori romkert

Archaeological site featuring the foundations of a Roman villa rustica dating from the 1st to 4th centuries AD. The ruins include remains of a residential building equipped with an ancient underfloor heating system.
