Ancient Persian Sites

Moaven al-molk Tekieh

A Qajar-era religious complex renowned for its exceptionally detailed tilework. The polychrome tiles depict a wide range of subjects, including Quranic stories, scenes from the Battle of Karbala, and portraits of ancient Persian kings and mythical heroes.

Illkhanid caravanserai

A historical roadside inn situated on the ancient trade route between the Iranian plateau and Mesopotamia. Originally constructed during the Ilkhanid period and later renovated under the Safavids, it features a traditional four-iwan plan with vaulted chambers surrounding a central courtyard.
