Kristiinankaupunki Essentials

Kristiinankaupunki is a well-preserved wooden town and Finland's first Cittaslow destination. The historic center features 18th-century merchant houses, such as the Lebellska köpmansgården, and the famously narrow Kissanpiiskaajankuja alley. Maritime heritage is showcased at the town's maritime museum and the cast-iron Yttergrund lighthouse. Nearby, the Wolf Cave offers a glimpse into prehistoric life, while the Kilens fishing village museum preserves the coastal traditions of the Gulf of Bothnia.
