Krujë's Unmissable Treasures

Krujë serves as a pivotal site of Albanian history, centered around its 5th-century castle which withstood three major Ottoman sieges. This collection highlights the city's strategic defensive structures, the museum dedicated to national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, and an 18th-century ethnographic residence. The centuries-old bazaar remains a functional link to the past, preserving traditional Ottoman architecture and artisan crafts, while the castle's watchtower provides a vantage point over the surrounding landscape and ancient fortifications.
