Natural Wonders of Laos

Laos' landscape is defined by its karst limestone formations and the Mekong River's influence. This selection includes the turquoise, multi-tiered Kuang Si Falls near Luang Prabang and the 7.5-kilometer-long river cave of Tham Kong Lor. In the south, the Khone Phapheng Falls represent the widest waterfall in Southeast Asia. Other highlights include the sacred Buddha-filled Pak Ou Caves, the panoramic views from Mount Phousi, and the natural swimming lagoons of Vang Vieng.
