Caves and Natural Wonders

The Liptov region features a diverse array of geological formations, from the subterranean ice chambers of Demänovská and the stalactite halls of Važecká Cave to the unique alpine karst of the Dead Bats' Cave. Above ground, the landscape includes the 55-meter Brankovský waterfall, the glacial Vrbické pleso lake, and the limestone formations of Sivý vrch. This collection also highlights the UNESCO-listed folk architecture of Vlkolínec and the historic water mills of Kvačianska Valley.
