Macau's Spiritual Heritage

Macau's religious landscape reflects its history as a Portuguese colony and a major Chinese trading port. This collection features UNESCO World Heritage sites like the 16th-century Ruins of St. Paul’s and the A-Ma Temple, which predates the city’s colonial era. Architectural styles range from Baroque and Neoclassical Catholic churches to traditional Chinese temples dedicated to Mazu and Guan Yin, distributed across the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, and Coloane.
