Iconic Peaks & Hill Stations

This collection highlights Malaysia's diverse high-altitude landscapes, ranging from the UNESCO-listed granite massif of Mount Kinabalu to the colonial-era hill stations of Maxwell Hill and Penang Hill. It includes the tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands, the razor-sharp limestone karst Pinnacles of Mulu National Park, and the coastal viewpoints of Langkawi’s Gunung Raya. These sites feature unique biodiversity, including rare pitcher plants on Mount Trus Madi and the massive Jelawang Waterfall at Gunung Stong.

Maxwell Hill

Established in 1884, this is Malaysia's oldest hill station. Located in Taiping at an altitude of 1,250 metres, it is accessible primarily via government-operated 4WD vehicles due to its steep, narrow access roads.

Mount Trus Madi

Standing at 2,642 metres, this is Malaysia's second-highest peak. Located in Sabah, it is known for its challenging terrain and the rare pitcher plant species, Nepenthes x trusmadiensis, which is endemic to the mountain.

Pinnacles

These razor-sharp limestone karst formations are located on the slopes of Gunung Api within Gunung Mulu National Park. The jagged spires rise up to 50 metres and were shaped by millions of years of water erosion.
