Michigan's inland waters range from the 9,800-acre Crystal Lake in Benzie County to the specialized man-made environment of Fletcher Pond in the northeast. This collection highlights unique geological and engineered features, including the illuminated cascades of Stepping Stone Falls on the Flint River and the remote, rocky shores of Lake Medora in the Keweenaw Peninsula. These sites represent a cross-section of the state's aquatic landscapes, from the public waters of Cowden Lake to the small, 87-acre Lake Lavine near the Indiana border.
