Prahova's Crown Jewels

The area also preserves industrial history through the National Museum of Oil in Ploiești and the expansive chambers of Salina Slănic, one of Europe’s largest salt mines.

Housed in the 18th-century Cămărășia building in Slănic, this museum details the history of regional salt extraction, local geology, and the tools used in the mining process over centuries.

Parcul Dimitrie Ghica

Established in 1881, this central park in Sinaia features century-old trees, the Sinaia Casino, and statues of prominent Romanian cultural figures including Ion Luca Caragiale.

Rhein Cellars

Founded in 1892 in Azuga, these cellars are the oldest site in Romania producing sparkling wine using the traditional Champenoise method. The facility served as an official supplier to the Romanian Royal House.
