Prahova's Crown Jewels

Prahova County encompasses the royal heritage of the Prahova Valley and the high-altitude landscapes of the Bucegi Mountains. The region features architectural landmarks like the Neo-Renaissance Peleș Castle and the Neo-Romanian Cantacuzino Castle. Natural wonders include the wind-sculpted Sphinx and Babele rock formations, accessible via the Bușteni cable car. The area also preserves industrial history through the National Museum of Oil in Ploiești and the expansive chambers of Salina Slănic, one of Europe’s largest salt mines.
