Sacred Islamic Sites

This collection features the foundational landmarks of Islam within Saudi Arabia. It includes the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, home to the Kaaba and Black Stone, and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. Beyond these primary pilgrimage sites, the list highlights historical mosques like Quba—the first ever built—and Al-Qiblatayn, where the direction of prayer was changed. It also encompasses the Nabatean rock-cut tombs of Hegra and the architecturally distinct Floating Mosque on the Jeddah coast.
