The South Sinai Governorate contains Egypt's highest elevations and significant religious landmarks. This collection features Mount Catherine, the country's tallest peak at 2,629 meters, and Mount Sinai, traditionally identified as the site where Moses received the Ten Commandments. The list also includes Gebel Serbal, a massive granite mountain in Wadi Feiran, and Jebel al Benat, known for its distinct rock formations and local folklore. These trails traverse rugged granite massifs and ancient mountain passes used by Bedouin tribes for centuries.
