Western Macedonia Essentials

Western Macedonia features a landscape of high-altitude lakes and rugged mountains. This region is home to the Prespa National Park, a vital wetland habitat for rare bird species. The architectural heritage is defined by the stone bridges of Grevena and Voio, such as the 18th-century Aziz Aga, and the neoclassical mansions of Kozani.
