Philadelphia in One Day

Enjoy the metropolitan atmosphere of Philadelphia in one day. Discover the city where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.

Your trip starts at Liberty Place, a skyscraper complex which includes a two-story shopping mall. Just around the corner is JFK Plaza. The park is also known as Love Park for its reproduction of Robert Indiana's Love sculpture. Your next stop is a historic Masonic building designed in the medieval Norman style - the Masonic Temple. Nowadays it features the Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania and it also offers its visitors guided tours.

Then, head to Penn Square and visit the Philadelphia City Hall which features the statue of William Penn, the founder of Philadelphia. Stroll through Chinatown to the Independence National Historical Park. The park is home to the Liberty Bell Center, one of the most iconic and recognizable symbols in American culture. If you are interested in history and the route that the U.S. took to become independent, you should definitely visit this place. The next must-see place is the Independence Hall, the place where both the US Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.

Before finishing your tour, stop by at the Lobby of the Curtis Center which hides a breathtaking enormous glass mosaic - Dream Garden. Also, don't forget to see the Irish Memorial, a touching reminder of over one million victims of the great famine in Ireland between 1845 and 1850.
