Historical & Archaeological Sites

Immervad Bro

A historic granite slab bridge dating to 1786, located along the ancient Hærvejen (Oxen Way) trade route in Southern Jutland.

Gejlå Bro

A twin-arched stone bridge built in 1818 to facilitate cattle transport along the Hærvejen. It is constructed from large, roughly hewn granite blocks.

Burg Niehuus

The archaeological site of a 14th-century motte-and-bailey castle. Once a defensive fortification near Flensburg, today only the castle mound and earthworks are visible.

Steingrab Räuberhauptmannsberg

A Neolithic megalithic tomb consisting of large erratic boulders. Unusual for its modern setting, the prehistoric burial chamber is located on a traffic island.

A collection of prehistoric burial mounds, or tumuli, situated near the border region, marking ancient funerary sites.
