Alagoas Essentials

Alagoas features a diverse coastline known as the 'Brazilian Caribbean' due to its turquoise waters and the extensive Costa dos Corais reef system. This selection highlights the natural pools of Maragogi, the multi-colored sandstone cliffs of Praia do Gunga, and the urban beaches of Maceió. It also includes the inland Monumento Natural do Rio São Francisco, where the river carves deep canyons through the semi-arid landscape.

Praia do Gunga

Praia do Gunga is located 20 miles south of Maceió, Alagoas. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil.
