Aragón Essentials

Aragón’s heritage spans from the Romanesque architecture of Loarre Castle to the subterranean galleries of the Escucha Mining Museum. This selection features the 11th-century Royal Monastery of San Juan de la Peña, built directly into a rock overhang, and the 16th-century pentagonal Citadel of Jaca. Natural highlights include the 300-meter conglomerate cliffs of Mallos de Riglos and the waterfalls of Monasterio de Piedra Park. The list also covers the birthplace of King Ferdinand II in Sos del Rey Católico and the historic international railway station at Canfranc.
