Iconic Lighthouses

This collection features the historic maritime beacons of the Vendée coastline and its offshore islands. It includes the mid-20th-century concrete towers of Île d’Yeu, the unique 19th-century metal structure at Fromentine, and the 1851 Tour Joséphine in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. These landmarks range from the 1968 L'Armendèche—the last major lighthouse built in France—to the square tower of Phare des Dames nestled in Noirmoutier's Bois de la Chaise.
