Cheltenham Beach

A quiet North Shore beach featuring views of Rangitoto Island and calm waters. It is lined with Victorian and Edwardian villas and serves as a starting point for walks up the North Head historic reserve.

Narrow Neck Beach

Located on the North Shore, this beach is characterized by volcanic rock formations and views of the Hauraki Gulf. It includes a local sailing club, a large playground, and public barbecue facilities.

Point Chevalier Beach

The closest beach to Auckland’s city center, featuring a large grassy reserve and boat ramps. The area holds significant cultural history for the local Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei iwi.

Thorne Bay Beach

A secluded bay located between Takapuna and Milford, accessible via the coastal walkway. The beach is notable for its volcanic geology, including fossilized tree molds in the basalt rock.
