Parks and Fountains

Bern’s landscape is defined by its unique 16th-century Renaissance fountains and expansive green spaces. The city’s historic center features ornate stone figures like the Schützenbrunnen and Kindlifresserbrunnen, which still provide fresh spring water today. Surrounding the urban core, elevated viewpoints such as the Gurten and Ulmizberg towers offer vistas of the Bernese Alps, while the Elfenau estate provides a quiet retreat along the Aare river.
