Bled's Unmissable Icons

Bled centers around its emerald glacial lake, featuring Slovenia's only natural island and a 17th-century baroque church. Historic Churches & Chapels

Bled's religious landscape is defined by the iconic Baroque Church of the Assumption on Bled Island, reached by 99 stone steps and home to a 16th-century wishing bell. In the town center, the neo-Gothic St. Martin's Parish Church features frescoes by Slavko Pengov and architecture by Friedrich von Schmidt.
