Castro's Unmissable Highlights

Castro, the capital of Chiloé Island, is defined by its iconic palafitos—vibrantly colored wooden houses built on stilts over the tidal waters. The city is home to the Church of San Francisco, a UNESCO World Heritage site noted for its bold yellow facade and intricate interior woodwork.
