Charleroi Parks and Recreation

Charleroi offers a diverse network of green spaces, ranging from historical urban gardens to sprawling wooded estates. Highlights include the city center’s Parc Reine Astrid, established in 1882, and the Parc de Monceau, which features an English-style garden and a 17th-century castle. Many sites, such as Parc de la Serna near the airport or the former industrial grounds of Parc Bivort, reflect the region's transition from an industrial hub to a landscape focused on nature and recreation.
