Mekong River Sights

Chiang Khan’s stretch of the Mekong River is defined by dramatic geological features and high-altitude viewpoints. Kaeng Kood Koo features large limestone boulders and rapids exposed during the low-water months of February to May. Nearby, the Hueang River confluence marks the international border with Laos. Phu Tok provides a sunrise vantage point for the seasonal sea of clouds, while Wat Pa Tai preserves local religious architecture within the town’s historic riverside area.

Kaeng Kood Koo
