The Chiemgau Alps offer a diverse range of winter sports facilities across the border region of Bavaria and Tyrol. This selection includes major ski resorts like Steinplatte and Hochkössen, alongside specialized infrastructure such as the historic 1957 Kampenwand Cable Car and the vintage single-seater Dürrnbachhorn lift. The area is also a hub for competitive sports, featuring professional ski jumping hills in Inzell and Ruhpolding, supported by a network of modern gondolas and heated chairlifts.
