Copenhagen’s cultural landscape spans from the Renaissance architecture of Rosenborg Castle, housing the Danish crown jewels, to the industrial halls of Copenhagen Contemporary. This selection features the National Gallery of Denmark’s extensive European art, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek’s ancient sculptures set within a neoclassical winter garden, and the National Museum’s prehistoric artifacts. Specialized institutions include the Danish Architecture Centre, the 17th-century Round Tower observatory, and the David Collection.
