Museums & Cultural Centres

This selection groups museums, historic villas and archaeological sites across the Dolomites region. Highlights include Renaissance frescoes at Villa Barbaro (Villa di Maser) and the Gypsoteca Canova’s plaster casts of Antonio Canova; Messner Mountain Museum’s alpine cultural exhibits; fossil displays of the extinct Ursus ladinicus; civic collections housed in Belluno’s Palazzo Fulcis; and several archaeological parks and parish museums preserving local prehistoric and medieval finds.
