Ebeltoft Vig Essentials

Ebeltoft Vig combines maritime heritage with the glacial terrain of Mols Bjerge National Park. The area features the 1860-built steam frigate Jylland, the world's longest wooden ship, and the 1789 Old Town Hall. Natural highlights include the 137-meter-high Agri Bavnehøj and Trehøje's Bronze Age burial mounds, which offer views across the Kattegat. The southern Helgenæs peninsula contains the Sletterhage Lighthouse and the 19th-century fortifications at Olaf Ryes Skanser.

Olaf Ryes Skanser

Historical fortification located on the narrow Dragsmur isthmus connecting Helgenæs to Mols. It was established during the First Schleswig War in 1849 by General Olaf Rye to defend the peninsula.
