Eger Essentials

Eger is defined by its medieval history and viticulture. The city’s core features the 16th-century Ottoman minaret, the neoclassical Basilica, and the Baroque Archbishop’s Palace. At its heart lies the castle, famous for the 1552 siege, with its extensive underground casemates.
