Natural Wonders of Eger

Eger’s natural landscape is defined by its volcanic geology and historical green spaces. This selection includes the 12-hectare Archbishop's Garden and the protected Berva-barlang, a site of Paleolithic discovery. The region's unique 'beehive rocks' (Kaptárkő) at Nyerges-hegy and Csobánka feature mysterious man-made niches carved into tufa. Panoramic views are accessible from the Dobó István observation tower on Nagy-Eged hill, while the city's medicinal thermal springs provide a functional link between the local geology and public wellness.
