Lakes and Waterfalls

This collection spans the Scottish Highlands, from the Isle of Skye’s volcanic landscapes to the ancient pine forests of the Cairngorms. It features the Mealt Waterfall, which drops 55 meters from the Kilt Rock cliffs directly into the Atlantic, and the Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle, known for their crystal-clear turquoise basins. The list includes Loch Morlich, home to the UK's highest sandy beach, and Loch an Eilein, which contains the ruins of a 13th-century island castle.

Kilt Rock Viewpoint

This beautiful colorful sea cliff in the shape of a kilt is 55 m tall and it features a majestic waterfall, the Mealt.

Mealt Waterfall

Plunges 55 meters from the basalt columns of Kilt Rock directly into the Sound of Raasay. Fed by the freshwater Mealt Loch, the falls are known for a distinct humming sound created when wind passes through the clifftop fencing.

Rogie Falls

Rogie Falls are a series of waterfalls on the Black Water, a river in Ross-shire in the Highlands of Scotland.

Lealt Falls

Located on the Isle of Skye's Trotternish peninsula, this site features two distinct waterfalls within a steep gorge. The area historically served as a center for diatomite mining, with remains of the storage building still visible on the shore below.

Victoria Falls

Named after Queen Victoria following her 1877 visit, this waterfall is fed by the Abhainn na Fuirneis. It flows through the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve before cascading into the southern end of Loch Maree.
