Scenic Natural Wonders

Gyeongju’s natural landscape integrates Silla Dynasty history with diverse geological features. This collection spans from the coastal basalt columnar jointing of Yangnam to the granite peaks of the Yeongnam Alps and Tohamsan. It includes historic water features like Seochulji Pond and the artificial Wolji Pond, alongside the Wolseong archaeological site. These locations offer views of the East Sea from Igyeondae and provide access to the extensive trail networks and Buddhist relics within Gyeongju National Park.

Tohamsan

Tohamsan is a mountain with a height of 745 m in Gyeongju City in southeastern South Korea. It is part of the minor Dongdae Mountains range.

Seokguram Observatory

Located near the UNESCO-listed Seokguram Grotto, this viewpoint offers panoramic vistas of the East Sea and the surrounding ridges of Gyeongju National Park.

Gyeongju yangnam jusangjeolli jeonmangdae

Observation tower overlooking unique basalt columnar jointing. The site features rare horizontal and fan-shaped volcanic rock formations along the coastline.
