Editor's Choice Hakone

Owakudani

This active volcanic valley features sulfurous fumes, hot springs, and views of Mount Fuji. It is known for its kuro-tamago, eggs hard-boiled in the naturally hot, sulfur-rich waters which turns the shells black.

This popular spa facility is home to numerous indoor and outdoor baths. It is divided into two zones - bathing suit area and no clothes area.
