Hardangerfjord Absolute Essentials

Hardangerfjord features some of Norway's most iconic natural and industrial landmarks. The region is defined by the 1,100-meter-high Trolltunga rock formation and the expansive glaciers of Folgefonna National Park. Notable waterfalls include the twin flows of Låtefossen and Steinsdalsfossen, which features a path allowing visitors to walk behind the falling water. The area also preserves significant heritage sites, from the 13th-century Røldal Stave Church to the early 20th-century Tyssedal Hydroelectric Power Station. Connecting these sites is the Hardanger Bridge, a major suspension bridge spanning the country's second-longest fjord.
