Outdoor Recreation & Nature

The Isle of Purbeck offers a concentrated selection of outdoor activities along the Jurassic Coast. The southern limestone cliffs, including Winspit and Dancing Ledge, provide world-class sport and traditional climbing opportunities. To the north, the protected heathlands and marshes near Poole Harbour feature specialized bird hides like Avocet and Harrier for observing rare species. Coastal recreation ranges from the Victorian Swanage Pier to the protected seagrass meadows and sandy beaches of Studland Bay.
