Skye's Unmissable Highlights

The Isle of Skye features diverse geological landmarks, from the Trotternish Peninsula’s basalt pinnacles to the 55-meter sea cliffs of Kilt Rock. Historical sites include Dunvegan Castle, the ancestral seat of Clan MacLeod, and the cliffside ruins of Duntulm Castle. Natural highlights range from the crystal-clear Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle to the remote, glacier-carved Loch Coruisk. Staffin Dinosaur Footprints

Preserved Middle Jurassic tracks left by ornithopod and theropod dinosaurs approximately 165 million years ago. The footprints are visible on the rocky shore at An Corran beach during low tide.
