Jeju Island's northern coastline features a diverse range of geological formations, from the volcanic black sand of Samyang to the rare white rhodolith shores of Udo Island. These sites offer shallow emerald waters, coastal basalt rock formations, and views of offshore islands like Biyangdo. Many beaches, such as Hamdeok and Hyeopjae, are characterized by sand composed of crushed seashells, while others like Naedomongdol feature smooth basalt pebble shores.
