Kerikeri's Essential Wonders

Kerikeri contains some of New Zealand’s earliest colonial history, centered around the 1822 Kemp House and the 1832 Stone Store. The Kerikeri River track connects these heritage sites to Rainbow Falls, a 27-meter drop over basalt rock, and the tiered Wharepuke Falls. Cultural landmarks include Kororipo Pā, a historic Maori fortified village, and Te Ahurea, an interactive living village. The area's natural landscape is further defined by the columnar basalt formations at Charlie's Rock and the diverse birdlife at The Parrot Place.
