Kyoto’s green spaces range from the manicured moss gardens of Saihoji Temple to the towering stalks of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Maruyama Park serves as a central hub for cherry blossom viewing, featuring a famous weeping cherry tree, while the Kyoto Botanical Garden hosts an extensive conservatory. In the Arashiyama district, riverside paths lead to the historic Togetsu Bridge and hilltop observation decks overlooking the Hozugawa River. Further north in the Ohara area, traditional temple ponds offer quiet reflection amidst seasonal foliage.
