Chiemsee, known as the 'Bavarian Sea,' features a variety of managed swimming areas and lakeside parks along its shores. These locations range from the expansive lawns of Chiemseepark Felden to the family-oriented Prienavera water park. Many sites offer amenities such as beach volleyball courts, children’s playgrounds, and rental services for stand-up paddleboards or rowing boats, with views extending across the water to the Chiemgau Alps.

Kurpark am Roseneck

Located in Prien am Chiemsee, this landscaped park features walking paths, floral displays, and views of the lake. It serves as a venue for outdoor concerts and cultural events during the summer season.

Prienavera

Lakeside water park and spa featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a 70-meter slide, and a sauna area. The outdoor section provides direct swimming access to Lake Chiemsee.

Öffentlicher Badestrand Übersee

Situated on the southeastern shore, this beach features one of the longest sandy stretches on the lake. It includes a beach bar, volleyball courts, and a large sunbathing lawn.

Hartsee-Freizeitgelände

Part of the Eggstätt-Hemhofer Lake District, this recreation area offers a swimming lake separate from Chiemsee, featuring a circular hiking trail, a playground, and a kiosk.

Strandbad Gollenshausen

Swimming area with a wooden pier, sunbathing lawn, and alpine views. Facilities include a kiosk, changing rooms, and a shallow entry area for children.

Chiemseepark Felden
