Maceió's coastline is defined by an extensive coral reef system that creates shallow natural pools along the shore. This selection includes urban stretches like Pajuçara and Ponta Verde, known for their accessible reefs and traditional jangada boat trips, alongside more secluded northern spots like Ipioca and Garça Torta. These destinations feature landmarks such as the mermaid statue at Praia da Sereia and the iconic Ponta Verde lighthouse, set against turquoise waters and coconut groves.

Praia de Ipioca

Located 25 kilometers north of the city center, this secluded stretch features calm, shallow turquoise waters protected by offshore reefs and dense coconut groves.

Praia de Ponta Verde

Lined with coconut palms, this urban shore features a coral reef and the historic Farol de Ponta Verde, a lighthouse accessible on foot during low tide.

Praia da Sereia
