Martin Essentials
Martin serves as the cultural center of Slovakia, housing the Slovak National Library and the country’s largest open-air museum, the Museum of the Slovak Village. The city’s historic core features the 13th-century Gothic Church of St. Martin and the 1784 Evangelical Tolerance Church. For outdoor activities, the Malá Fatra mountains provide the Martinky ski resort and high-altitude hiking trails.
