Archaeological Sites in Mġarr
Mġarr contains some of Malta's most significant archaeological treasures, spanning from the Megalithic period to the Roman era. This collection features the UNESCO-listed Ta' Ħaġrat and Skorba temples, which are among the world's oldest free-standing structures. The list also highlights Roman-era engineering at the Għajn Tuffieħa baths, unique rock-cut apiaries, and a diverse range of Punic and Phoenician burial sites. Together, these locations offer a detailed look at the prehistoric, classical, and maritime history of Northwest Malta.
