Monterosso Peaks and Trails

Overlooking the Ligurian Sea, these peaks form the rugged backdrop of Monterosso al Mare within the Cinque Terre National Park. The summits are connected by a network of ancient mule tracks and the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre (AV5T) hiking trail. Notable landmarks include the 11th-century Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Soviore situated on the slopes of Monte Soviore. The terrain features Mediterranean macchia, pine forests, and sandstone formations, offering vantage points over the coastline toward Levanto and Vernazza.

Monte Soviore

Elevation 465 meters. Located above the historic Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Soviore, the oldest Marian shrine in Liguria.

Monte Serro

Elevation 421 meters. Situated on the ridge between Monterosso and Levanto, offering views of the Mesco promontory.

Monte Pizzolo

Elevation 447 meters. A peak along the inland ridge trail connecting the Soviore sanctuary with the Colle di Gritta.

Monte Crocettola

Elevation 441 meters. Located near the intersection of the 591 and 509 trails above the Monterosso valley.

Monte Pinasco

Elevation 576 meters. A high point on the ridge separating the coastal slopes from the inland Pignone valley.

Monte Martinasco

Elevation 543 meters. A peak on the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre trail offering views of the Vara Valley and the sea.

M. Bandia

Elevation 564 meters. Located near Monte Pinasco along the main ridge line above the Cinque Terre coastline.

Monte Fornello

Elevation 402 meters. A minor summit situated along the coastal ridge trails above the Monterosso basin.

Monte Molinelli

Elevation 385 meters. Located on the western slopes of Monterosso, overlooking the valley leading toward the Sant'Antonio del Mesco ruins.

Monte Rossini

Elevation 468 meters. A prominent peak on the ridge between Monterosso and Levanto, near the Punta Mesco headland.
