Norwegian Heritage Sites

This collection spans the historical landscape of Møre og Romsdal, featuring the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord and several 19th-century wooden churches. It includes World War II coastal defenses at Vevang and the 1842 Stavneset lighthouse. Higher elevations contain ancient archaeological remains, such as bogestilling (archery blinds) and dyregrav (pitfall traps), which provide evidence of prehistoric and medieval reindeer hunting traditions in the Norwegian mountains.
